To enable or disable radar and AIS integration, click on the Radar/AIS button on the toolbar.   • Adjust the radar offset and rotation by dragging and dropping the radar center mark on the chart window.



  • You will see the radar and AIS targets as colored dots or symbols on the chart window, overlaid on the chart.



To view the information of a radar or AIS target, hover your mouse over it and a tooltip will appear with its details. You can also right-click on a target and select Show Target Info from the context menu to open a window with more information.


To set an alarm for a radar or AIS target, right-click on it and select Set Alarm from the context menu. You can choose to set an alarm based on distance, bearing, or CPA/TCPA. You can also adjust the alarm threshold and sound from the Set Alarm dialog box. When an alarm is triggered, you will hear a sound and see a flashing icon on the status bar. You can click on the icon to see which target caused the alarm and why.


How to Use 3D Sea Floor Modeling




Dkart Navigator 5.32 4 allows you to create and display 3D sea floor models based on your echosounder data and chart data. You can see the 3D sea floor models in a separate window or in a split-screen mode with the chart window. You can also rotate, tilt, zoom, pan, and measure distances and depths on the 3D sea floor models.


To use 3D sea floor modeling in Dkart Navigator 5.32 4, you need to have an echosounder connected to your computer or laptop via a USB or serial port. Dkart Navigator 5.32 4 will automatically detect your echosounder and display its status on the status bar.


To enable or disable 3D sea floor modeling, click on the 3D button on the toolbar. You can also access the 3D Settings dialog box from this button, where you can adjust various parameters for 3D sea floor modeling, such as resolution, color scheme, shading, lighting, transparency, etc.


To create a 3D sea floor model, follow these steps:



  • Start recording your echosounder data by clicking on the Record Echosounder button on the toolbar.



  • Navigate your vessel along the area that you want to model, making sure that you cover the entire area with your echosounder beam.



  • Stop recording your echosounder data by clicking on the Stop Echosounder button on the toolbar.



  • Click on the 3D button on the toolbar and select Create 3D Model from the drop-down list.



  • In the Create 3D Model dialog box, select the echosounder data file and the chart data file that you want to use for creating the 3D model. You can also specify the name and location of the 3D model file.



  • Click on OK to start creating the 3D model. This may take some time depending on the size and complexity of the data.



  • When the 3D model is created, it will be automatically loaded and displayed in a separate window or in a split-screen mode with the chart window, depending on your preference.



To view and manipulate the 3D sea floor model, follow these steps:



  • To rotate the 3D model, click and drag on it with your left mouse button.



  • To tilt the 3D model, click and drag on it with your right mouse button.



  • To zoom in or out of the 3D model, use your mouse wheel or the Zoom In/Zoom Out buttons on the toolbar.



  • To pan the 3D model, click and drag on it with your middle mouse button or use the arrow keys on your keyboard.



  • To measure distances and depths on the 3D model, click on the Measure button on the toolbar and then click on two points on the 3D model. The distance and depth between the two points will be shown on the status bar.



You can also change the appearance and perspective of the 3D sea floor model by using the 3D Settings dialog box. For example, you can change the color scheme, shading, lighting, transparency, etc. of the 3D model. You can also switch between different views, such as top view, side view, front view, etc.


How to Input and Display Echosounder Data

  • The selected depth contours will be shown as colored lines on the chart window, overlaid on the chart.



  • The color of the lines indicates the depth of the contour, with red being the shallowest and blue being the deepest.



  • You can zoom in and out of the chart window by using your mouse wheel or the Zoom In/Zoom Out buttons on the toolbar.
